Happy Birthday to a real-life superhero.

When I first watched the X-Men animated series when I was a kid in the 90s, it was Storm that drew me in and kept me there. Her power. Her compassion. Her voice.

I could have never imagined that nearly 30 years later I would meet the person who gave her that voice. Alison proved to be everything I ever imagined her to be, and more. Her talent is obvious. Her passion for her craft is apparent. But what I got to see was how it was she could play a character that was pretty much divine, it’s because she is quite literally an angel on earth.

I watched as person after person came and shared their stories of what she meant to them, and I saw first-hand how that impacted her and how she gave that love right back. The world needs more of her.

Two weekends ago, I had the absolutely best time at ! Not only seeing friends, amazing cosplay, and enjoying the nerdy q***r atmosphere, but getting to work with (voice of Morph in X-Men ‘97 and Gargamel in the recent movie among other things) and other amazing and talented humans with ***rvoxacademy. Their org helps q***r voice actors with guidance, community, and resources to be the best they can be.

Once again I have to thank for making this opportunity possible. I’m slowly making my way through the X-Men ‘97/TAS cast and my completionist heart is going to require me to catch them all. 🤓

It’s about that time!! I’m so ready to get nerdy with all my beautiful peeps at 2025!

Now that it’s been a few days, I wanted to try and put into words how this past weekend at Uncanny impacted me.

This is my third year and I’ll be honest that I was concerned if this year would be able to turn out the same emotions and have the same feeling as the last two. Mainly because of the change to July but also just some personal stuff that had me a little burnt out. But it not only delivered, it refueled my love and calmed my mind.

Being around a group of individuals who have been looking for a place to belong and finding it, that is something that can’t be replicated. There’s something that happens-it’s like you feel and hear an audible *click* as your being snaps into place among other beings who share the love for a world, and for each other. You ride that feeling all weekend and realize you’re not alone.

I know that this event is saving lives, literally.

Thank you to the founders, the staff, the attendees, the incredible talent and guests, for saving me again. I love you all.

has given me so much, including these two amazing experiences with my childhood heroes Sophomore year with and this Junior year with . I can’t thank enough for entrusting me with the honor of working with these amazing individuals. I’ve had folks ask if I feel like I’m missing out not being able to take part in the weekend experiences, but what I tell them is that helping make this event happen and giving everyone else the ability to enjoy the love of this amazing world of found family-that’s my joy. I can’t wait for next year!

It’s been another and it’s another core memory created. This lady is now not only the I hear in my head, but is now considered a friend. She is a gem of a human being. Thank you for giving me yet another opportunity and allowing me to help bring this event to life. Now, on to Senior Year, Sept. 12-13, 2026!

It’s time!! School is in session and Junior Year of Summer School Edition is upon us! I’m so excited to see my X-Fam and all the amazing guests, cosplayers, attendees, and marvelous humans (mutants) this weekend! Catch me cosplaying one of the incredible Staff during the day. But you’ll find me cosplaying Dapper Scarlet Witch at the Omega Party tonight and debuting my Dapper Wiccan at the Hellfire Induction Ceremony and After Party Saturday night! Can’t wait to see you there students!!

I didn’t really know what would happen when I moved to New York/Jersey City (three years in August). But honestly, I didn’t think it would be something like this.

I’m so excited to be speaking on a couple of panels and having USA and the highlighted at our first RIMS RISKWORLD conference. This year it’s in Chicago. With the state of the country at the moment, I can’t be more proud to be standing with these individuals and others who know that there is nothing wrong with diversity, equity, inclusion, wanting people to feel welcomed, and generally just being a good human being.
