The Future Roots Project is a 5013c founded in Minnesota that focuses on sustainable educational, artistic, and health initiatives in Central America. From teachers trainings to designing sustainable classroom materials to localized theatrical presentations, Future Roots brings opportunities to impoverished communities that improve literacy rates, creativity, self worth, health & empowerment into children.

“Only good-will resistance, in the end, is capable of overcoming injustice.”
This quote from civil rights movement strategist Bayard Rustin comes from a 1948 speech encouraging young Black men to resist segregation in the U.S. military and in society at large.
Despite being (at the time) a pacifist and conscientious objector, Rustin felt eliminating Jim Crow in all aspects of U.S. life was critical.
