Groove connects us to ourselves, the moment, and most importantly, one another: Join us in June and experience this yourself! 💃

We’re starting our rehearsal process on Monday with A/E Director Erinn Liebhard (.danceartist ) for our upcoming summer show, Groovers & Makers ‘26! To get you amped up for her work, let’s learn a little more about Erinn:

Erinn Liebhard is a dance artist driven by the reflective and connective power of groove. Guided by this inspiration and a fondness for jazz and American social dance, she’s worked with creatives as varied as hip-hop dance theater artists Rennie Harris and the Wild Goose Chase Cloggers. In performance, she makes and performs works and presents those of others through her company Rhythmically Speaking, plays “Nerdette” for St. Paul Saints Baseball, and makes work for professional companies, colleges and high schools. In education, she’s a COMPAS Teaching Artist, is on faculty at several area universities and is an active writer and conference presenter. She is driven to connect to themselves, one another and the moment through rooted and innovative embodiment of groove.

Liebhard’s new work for the show considers human fascination with time travel, exploring the rub between how we are fallible and time is not - at least not yet. Mark your calendars for Groovers & Makers ‘26 happening at the Southern Theater 7/30 - 8/1 to find out what this looks and feels like!

Join us Friday for the May installment of monthly MoveTogether series (our version of a collaborative open company class), led by local guest choreographer Karla Grotting () at Hothouse. Come push your artistry, connect with fellow movers, and experience what Rhythmically Speaking is all about. Bonus: Karla isn’t teaching a lot of public classes right now, so don’t miss your chance to learn from this Twin Cities dance legend! 🖤

Rhythmically Speaking is holding auditions for two new dancers to join us for CHILL - our Charlie Brown Christmas show - this December! 🕺✨ RS seeks dancers with highly-developed senses of groove and musicality who are interested and/or experienced in performance improvisation and proficient in jazz and modern/ contemporary stylings, and ballet. Tap abilities/ experience a plus!
