For Rose Martinez, Dedication Sunday was a celebration of everything this community has built together—through faith, dedication, volunteerism, and a deep sense of family.
As a Prayer Chaplain and self-described “cheerleader” for Unity Minneapolis, Rose has spent years believing in this congregation and the future it could create.
That future is now here—and it belongs to the generations who will walk through these doors next. We’re so grateful for everyone who helped make this new chapter possible, and for the spirit of generosity and community that will carry it forward.

What might we discover when we’re willing to meet the places that scare us with an open heart?
This Sunday at 10 AM, we begin October’s theme: Finding the More in the Places That Scare You. I’ll share the message, 'The Excellence of Bodhichitta', with meditation led by Karen Onny, LUT, and music from The Unity Choir, Rachel Holder, Lori Dokken, and The Unity Band. What do we hope future generations experience when they walk through these doors?
For Lou Longmire, it’s the same sense of connection and belonging that generations of people have experienced at Unity Minneapolis. On Dedication Sunday, Lou was there volunteering as an usher and celebrating a home that is now more accessible, more beautiful, and ready to welcome even more people for generations to come.
We’re grateful for the many people like Lou who have given their time, energy, and heart to this community—and helped make Home for Generations more than a campaign, but a promise we can carry forward.

Need a moment of stillness and renewal?
Join us Tuesday, October 6, from 7–8 PM in the Fillmore Room for our Healing & Wellness Service. The evening begins and ends with the resonant sounds of the singing bowl and includes a guided meditation followed by four 10-minute healing sessions.
Come slow down, reconnect with the Divine within, and share in a peaceful space of healing and presence.

On Friday, Oct. 16, we’re welcoming don Miguel Ruiz Jr. and don Jose Ruiz to Unity Minneapolis for Breaking Old Agreements: Living The Four Agreements & The Fifth Agreement. From 6:30–8 PM in the Sanctuary, the best-selling authors and Toltec Masters of Transformation will share storytelling, humor, and practical wisdom to help us look at the beliefs and patterns that shape our lives.

Myrtle Fillmore reminds us that rest is more than a pause from the demands of daily life.
In the quiet, we have an opportunity to return to the center of our being—to remember the Divine presence within us and reconnect with the life, strength, and wisdom that are always available there.
Our annual Chili Cook-Off is back! 🌶️
On Sunday, Oct. 4, from 11 AM–12 PM in Friendship Hall, bring your best chili and put it to the test as we crown 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
