PrEP for Pride was everything we hoped it would be and we are thankful to everyone who came through to get tested, talk PrEP and DoxyPEP, and celebrate q***r health with us. Knowing your status is an act of love, for yourself and for your community, and last night you showed up for both.

Huge thanks to Saloon Minneapolis for partnering with us, to the physicians and staff who made it happen, and to every single person who walked through the door. Let’s keep showing up for one another, today and all year long.

Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

It’s been such an honor for us to have panels from the AIDS Memorial Quilt in our city. It is an incredible reminder of the work that our q***r elders have put into this movement and what lies ahead.

If you haven’t gotten a chance to check it out or want to check it out one more time, the panels will be on display until end of day tomorrow at Queermunity MN

Join us on Wednesday, June 24, at The The Saloon MN from 6-10 PM for a night of q***r health, community, and care.

Come get tested for HIV and receive one free Saloon Pride Block Party ticket. We’re offering 200 free tests, so first come, first served.

Physicians will be on site to talk PrEP and DoxyPEP, with PrEP Jump-Start Packs and DoxyPEP Packs available right there.

Knowing your status is an act of love, for yourself and for your community. Let us PrEP for Pride, together!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Queermunity MN for our Long-Term Survivors Q&A, and our deepest gratitude to Kevin and Russ for sitting with us and sharing their lives, their memories, and their hope.

There is something powerful about being in a room across generations, where folks who have lived through the hardest chapters of this epidemic pass their wisdom to the new generation. Surrounded by the panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, we listened, we grieved, we laughed, and we were reminded that this community has always held one another up.

Nights like this are why we do this work. The people who came before us are still teaching, still advocating, still showing us what care looks like.

The Quilt is on display at Queermunity through June 14, free and open to all. Come spend time with it. ❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Join us tomorrow night as we gather at ***rmunitymn for a Long-Term Survivors Q&A, in conversation beneath the panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt. The folks in this room have been resisting, surviving, and showing up for each other for decades and their stories are the reason we’re still here.

Come listen. Come remember. Come be in community.
Wednesday, June 10 | 6–8pm

Snacks and drinks provided. No registration, just come through!

A week ago, we welcomed the AIDS Memorial Quilt home to Minnesota. Since then, our community has gathered, remembered, and stood together in the presence of panels that hold so much love and loss.

We are incredibly grateful for the gift Randy is to our community and for his willingness to share his story. It is so inspiring to hear him share the memory behind the panel he made for his partner, and how the Quilt continues to carry his partner’s legacy forward.

Every panel is a person who was loved and a life still remembered. These are the stories the Quilt holds, and why bringing it to Minnesota meant so much.

There’s still time to see it. The Quilt is on display at Queermunity through June 14, free and open to all. Come spend time with it. Bring someone you love.

To us, National HIV Long-Term Survivors Day signifies hope.
Hope that those who’ve been living with HIV will feel celebrated in all that they’ve gone through and that they’ve accomplished. HIV long term survivors symbolize all of the hard work community advocates and activists have done to ensure folks can access health care, create new medications, and reduce stigma. Take a moment and listen to Randy’s story. Life is a gift, and we are excited to celebrate and fight for it.

Thank you to Randy for allowing us to share your special story.
We appreciate, and love you for not only paving the way for us younger folks, but showing us that there is still hope even in the darkest of times.

Today is Give OUT Day!

It’s the only national day of giving for the LGBTQ+ community, and we’re asking you to show up for Aliveness. This year, our goal is to raise $5,000 to support HIV care and prevention, our food shelf, housing support, and the community that shows up for one another every single day.

This is also the season we brought the AIDS Memorial Quilt home to Minnesota, welcomed our community in, and reminded ourselves why this work matters. Your gift keeps work like that going.

Visit https://www.giveoutday.org/organization/Alivenessmn to give and continue to sustain our work today.
