One design trend that will never go out of style is incorporating natural light. Expansive windows and strategically placed skylights seamlessly blend the outdoors into your home and impart a luminous airy ambiance to your home. The light fixtures you choose can also have a big impact. Whether it’s a chandelier in the dining room, pendant lights in the kitchen, or sconces in the hallway, investing in quality lighting enhances the overall aesthetic of your home.

Spring is right around the corner, which means it’s time to start thinking about refreshing your home’s curb appeal.

The door is the entry to your home and the distinguishing element of your curb appeal. Double French doors, stained glass, or a vibrant splash of color can add personality and flair to brighten up your home. Elevating your curb appeal extends beyond the door itself, refreshing your siding can also make your home feel brand new. Complement the overall aesthetic with decorative elements such as a whimsical wreath, a fresh doormat, or an arrangement of lanterns to create an inviting atmosphere.

We believe a renovation should beautifully complement a home’s existing architecture and the lifestyle of the people who live there. Finding this balance requires getting the small details right without losing sight of the big picture.

Every project begins with a mood board.

The goal of this home remodel is to modernize their main living spaces. The kitchen will be brightened with white and walnut cabinetry, quartzite countertops, and black hardware. Follow along as this project unfolds!

This home had a closed kitchen that was completely disconnected from the dining room. To enhance the connection between the kitchen and dining room we decided to open the wall and design an archway that mimics the existing archways found throughout the home.

Back in 2005, a two-story addition had expanded the rear of this home, creating a disjoined flow that didn't function. Eager for a remedy, the homeowners turned to Quartersawn, seeking to harmonize their living space.

We opened the living area and added two new entry points seamlessly connecting the kitchen, mudroom, and living room. Resulting in seamless harmony.

This 1918 Minneapolis home underwent a series of renovations that neglected its original character. The resulting disjointed layout lacked practicality. Quartersawn addressed these challenges by reconfiguring the layout, strategically relocating walls, and transforming spaces with thoughtful design. By removing a wall between the kitchen and dining room, a spacious yet intimate great room emerged, seamlessly connecting the front to the back of the house. The incorporation of high-end finishes has not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal but also elevated the overall functionality of this splendid home.

Last week we had our first org. meeting of the year. We spent the day planning for the year ahead. Leadership shared the goals and direction for the year, we broke into small teams to discuss our personal goals and opportunities for growth, and we ended the day taking a tour of the beautifully restored Historic Grain Belt Office.

We are excited for a great year ahead!

Grateful for a design that honors the original style of this home while bringing their vision to life. Are you ready to transform your home? Schedule a time to speak with one of our project advisors.

The homeowners were drawn to the Summit Hill neighborhood by the beautiful historical homes but had a hard time finding the perfect fit for their family. Before purchasing their 120-year-old home they wanted to be sure they could make the improvements they were looking for. With keen insights from the Quartersawn team, we were able to design a home that not only honored the existing architecture but accommodated their family of five. We even made a few friends along the way.

Transforming your living space involves making deliberate and creative design choices that resonate with your individual style. Whether you are drawn to modern, classic, or transitional design, incorporating wallpaper can be a transformative element for any powder room.

Adding wallpaper to a powder room is a great way to make this small room feel like a luxurious escape. The beauty of this compact space lies in its self-contained nature, allowing for more daring and adventurous design choices without the risk of conflicting with the overall design scheme of the rest of your home.

With a keen eye for interior design, the homeowners approached Quartersawn with a clear vision for enhancing their charming 1920s home. Their primary objective was to create a kitchen that not only stunned with its aesthetics but also seamlessly integrated with the age and architecture of the home. The challenge was to create a kitchen that seamlessly blended contemporary functionality with the timeless allure of the home's age and architecture.
