WCA Foundation Fall 2021 Grant Round The WCA Foundation supports organizations and projects in the Twin Cities that provide direct services to meet the fundamental needs of women.

WCA Foundation Awards More than $400K in Grants The WCA Foundation, a Signature Fund of the Minneapolis Foundation, has awarded $418,800 in grants to 18 nonprofit organizations in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.

Our Statement on the Chauvin Trial Verdict Yesterday, we joined our community in breathing a collective sigh of relief when a jury found former police officer Derek Chauvin guilty as charged in the murder of George Floyd.

Mabeth Hurd Paige is one of the WCA Foundation’s founding mothers. She also founded the Minnesota branch of the League of Women Voters. She sought office because she believed that women should participate more in politics after winning the right to vote.

Today is marking the amount of additional time in which women on average would need to work to make the same amount as white men did in 2020.

However, we also know that this gap is even greater for BIPOC women. We must work to ensure equal pay is attained for ALL women & communities.
