Happy Solstice from Haute Box! This is our owner's favorite holiday and for good reason!

Not only is this the shortest day and longest night, but historically the winter solstice was used to guide activities such as the sowing of crops and monitoring the winter's food supply. This day also marks the transition to more daylight hours and gearing up for Spring plantings.

So, here's to Spring thoughts, wintery vibes and as always cheese!

Some of our platters on display for a lovely cocktail hour post wedding put on by the ever amazing planners this past month. We were fortunate to help celebrate over 24 events this season! So grateful for our event partners, local clients and celebrating in person once again!

It’s TOMATO 🍅 season! At Haute Box Catering seasonal ripe tomatoes are our jam (see what we did there?!).

Here’s our favorite recipe to make for our seasonal charcuterie spread. Recipe courtesy of by the always on point

Directions: Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring often. Reduce heat and simmer, about 1 hour. Cool + refrigerate up to 1 week.

At Haute Box we love a good pickled veggie! Not only are they full of umami flavor they also prevent food from going to waste.

This week, we are using local ramps to pickle for a backyard wedding to go on our seasonal charcuterie board. If you’re not familiar with these local beauties, ramps taste like a cross between green garlic and spring onions. In a word, yum!
