Park Rolfing SI
Rolfing® Structural Integration is a form of body work that works by lengthening and freeing the wrapping around and within muscles (myofascia).
In freeing the fascia, the clients body gains more ease of movement and relief from muscle and joint pain. Steve Fillbrandt is the owner/operator of Park Rolfing® SI. Rolfing® Structural Integration is body work that can free up stuck muscles, reduce or eliminate nagging pains, and bring a greater sense of ease to your body.

This is good stuff.
There is a strong connection between unsolved psychological conflicts and physical tension, according to psychologist and Certified Advanced Rolfer® Thomas Heinrich. If an inner conflict is not solvable, the muscle tension becomes chronic which can lead to a thickening of collagen fibres and stiffening of the tissue.
Rolfing® can activate a memory of the situation that has created the conflict, which is mostly experienced as a relief by the client. Rolfing doesn’t just affect a person on a body level, but also on an emotional and cognitive level.

I apologize for not posting for a while. I was doing a thing called "traveling," which was out of style last year, I guess. Anyway, here's (another) good article about fascia. We Rolfers work with fascia!
Our Understanding of Fascia: From “Packing Material” to Central Role Fascia is the focus of this essay, part of MASSAGE Magazine’s 35th-anniversary coverage. It has been my self-appointed task since 1974, when I first met Ida Rolf, PhD, and switched my career …

Did you know that, in addition being a Rolfer, I am also a certified biodynamic craniosacral therapist?! (This is where most of you would say, “no.”) Anyway, I can use my skills as a Rolfer and a craniosacral therapist to help access a client’s vagus nerve, which may help with digestion, stress management, and breathing restrictions. If you’re interested in learning more, you can read the article below and/or call/text me at 612-210-4654. I am also reachable by email at [email protected]. Thanks!
What The Vagus Nerve Is And How To Stimulate It For Better Mental Health Healthy vagal tone means emotional regulation, greater connection and better physical health as well.

This a a good article about how what fascia is, how it works, and how it gets stuck. During a Rolfing session, we work with the fascia and bring the flexibility and mobility back not only to fascia, but muscles and joints, as well.
Everything You Need to Know About Fascia It's more than just a buzzword.

This is a terrific video from a local Rolfer™️ named Briah Anson. Briah does a fantastic job of describing what Rolfing is and what it does, and she shows the sort of “touch” involved in a Rolfing session.
If you are interested in learning more about Rolfing, feel free to email me at [email protected], or call or text me at (612) 210-4654.

Here’s a great article discussing fascia and how Rolfing can help with aches and pains (and migraines, plantar fasciitis, shoulders and hips that don’t have much range of motion, etc.).
Here's the Secret to Banishing Muscle Aches Meet fascia, the connective tissue weaving through your body that studies show is key to untangling tightness for good.
Between the stressors of the holidays and COVID-19 (and its accompanying restrictions), tension and pain in your joints and muscles may be becoming more pronounced. Rolfing is a great way to bring a greater sense of physical and mental ease to your whole body.
I am still seeing clients during this latest phase of restrictions. You will have to look at me behind an inverted face shield and a mask, but if you can deal with that, feel free to contact me via Facebook messenger, my email at [email protected], or by phone call or text at 612-210-4654. Hope to see you soon!
Hello! I am seeing clients again, so please let me know if you would like to set up a session or a consultation. Also, please take a look at the link/story to learn more about how Rolfing can help you.
