Dear Winnow MN Community,

It is with a heavy heart that we are writing to let you know that Winnow MN is wrapping up operations as of today.

We are incredibly proud of the community that you all helped us build. Learning from and showcasing so many talented roasters has been such a fulfilling and truly inspiring experience.

This is not a decision we made lightly. However, considering the current challenges within the coffee industry, we believe it is the right path forward. With continuously rising coffee prices and increasing uncertainties, it has become more difficult to maintain the quality of coffee you have come to expect from Winnow MN, while also ensuring fair compensation for our featured roasters.

We are so grateful that you allowed Winnow MN to help wake up your mornings these past 5 years and we hope that this caffeinated journey through Minnesota’s best coffees was as enjoyable for you as it was for us. ☕️

How To Brew the Perfect Cup ☕️

Coffee-to-water ratios, or brew ratios, are the backbone of every brewing recipe. This allows you to easily adjust the intensity of your cup by adding or reducing the amount of coffee that you use, or the amount of water. A 1:16 ratio is a great starting point!

1. Weigh your beans (in grams)
2. Multiply the weight of your beans by 16
3. This will tell you how much water to use (in grams)

One cup: 20g beans x 16 = 320g water

Minimum Wage Tim’s Coffee Co. began in Tim’s South Minneapolis garage with the intention of connecting with neighbors over coffee. That purview quickly grew to encompass Minneapolis and beyond, maintaining the personal guidance first offered to his neighborhood.
