Walk by faith & not by sight.

Last week my brother had open heart surgery. I came down & visit him & they released him on Monday. We laughed & talked about many things. Then I get the call on Wednesday that he’s back in the hospital unconscious & in a coma & on life support. Yesterday, Friday he’s laying there with no brain function. He’s dead but not legally dead until he’s removed from life support. I sat there & watched how hard both his wife & his son the 2 most important ppl that he loved in his life grieve. My sister in law is waiting for the rest of family & friends to come see him before she gives the ok to remove him from life support. He stated before he didn’t want a funeral & be buried. He wants to be cremated & his ashes on a plot him & his wife has.
These past 7 days has definitely been an emotional roller coaster. It’s crazy how life works. When I spoke to my brother on Monday I wasn’t expecting that by Friday he’ll be gone. He was talking about getting back to work & the plans.
In my lifetime I’ve seen so many ppl make plans & never get a chance to do em. It really hit me a few years ago when my sister passed & she had all these plans she wanted to do when she retired but those plans were never fulfilled. To the youth I say don’t work your entire life then plan on truly living after you retire. If ya wanna travel do it now. If you have other interests do it now cause For the same price you pay for a status to impress other broke ppl. You can pay for a weekend mini vacation or an experience that will outlast that bottle, that bag or pair of shoes. Never let anyone else tell you what you can’t do. Just because they don’t believe in your goal doesn’t mean it can’t or won’t happen.

Don’t get mad at the man that brings you the news. Get mad at the person that’s making it happen.
