Where did your child’s teacher, pediatrician, pastor, or social worker learn to recognize abuse?

For many professionals, that training happens too late. After they are already in the field and facing real cases involving real children.

Zero Abuse Project’s Center for Education & Workforce Development is working to change that.

Through Child Advocacy Studies (CAST), continuing education, and faculty support, we help prepare future and current professionals to recognize, respond to, and prevent child maltreatment.

CAST programs are now active at more than 100 colleges, universities, professional schools, and seminaries across 30+ states.

Because child protection training should not start after the crisis.

Behind every child protected is a network of professionals and organizations working together on behalf of children. Through our five centers, Zero Abuse Project helps strengthen that network.

This summer, we’re breaking down each center so you can see the full scope of the work your support makes possible. First up: The Jacob Wetterling Resource Center, working year-round to prevent child abuse through education, prevention curricula, and advocacy.

Last week, our Thirty for Children Dallas-Fort Worth dinner brought together passionate advocates united by one mission. Champions for children filled the room hearing powerful words from CEO Jeff Dion, special guest Anthony Edwards, and Dallas County ADA Amy Derrick.

We also recognized our friends at Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center for completing their ChildFirst Forensic Interview Protocol Train-The-Trainer Accreditation! The work this team does to protect children and support survivors is truly inspiring.

Together, we can end child abuse!

Every time a child logs on to the internet without guardrails, they're entering a neighborhood we've never seen, one with no familiar streets, no known neighbors, and no way to know who's watching.

This June, we're recognizing Internet Safety Month because internet safety isn't a dream that will happen someday. It's a community responsibility.

At Zero Abuse Project, we work alongside and help support the investigators, prosecutors, and law enforcement who see the worst of what happens in that invisible neighborhood. We also work with parents, teachers, and caregivers who are trying to make it safer before anything even has to be investigated.
Internet Safety Month is your chance to take action and help create a safer online world for kids.

Here's how:
1. Have one real conversation with a kid about what they're seeing online and how they can stay safe
2. Share one of our resources with a parent, teacher, or caregiver who needs it
3. If you're able, help us keep this work going for the families and communities who need it most

Every kid deserves a world free from abuse and that world is built by communities like ours, one conversation, one resource, and one act of support at a time. This June, let's build it together!

Over the last 18 months, Zero Abuse Project's ICAC Training & Technology program trained 3,178 professionals in cryptocurrency tracing, Dark Web investigations, digital forensics, and more delivering 155 training events and 142 case consultations across 35 states. Now, that work is at risk.

Zero Abuse Project lost funding for this critical program and thousands of investigators who fight online child exploitation need your help to keep this training alive.

For nearly four years, Zero Abuse Project has been on the front lines of something most people never see.

Our ICAC program trains the investigators who track predators, trace cryptocurrency, and save children from sextortion schemes before a crisis becomes a tragedy.

Last month, we learned our funding won't be renewed. This May, we will be sharing more about the ICAC program and how you can join us as we build a world where every child is free from abuse.

Some stories stay with you forever.

We’re honored to feature Martin Moran, longtime friend of Zero Abuse Project, supporter of 1in6, and creator of The Tricky Part, in a powerful new conversation on our YouTube channel.

Marty’s story has helped countless survivors feel seen, while challenging communities to better understand the lifelong impact of abuse and the possibility of healing.

His work is also utilized in our CAST program, helping prepare future child protection professionals with empathy, awareness, and survivor-centered understanding.
