Emily Afdahl: Robin Starveling/Moonshine

Emily Afdahl (She/Her) returns to playing a rude mechanical after playing Peter Quince in Steppingstone Theatre’s production in March of 2020 (but for some reason the show closed??). Past Orthogonal shows include Cabaret (Kit Kat Girl) and Rocky Horror (Phantom). Other notable credits include She Kills Monsters (Evil Tina), Macbeth (First Witch), and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Mitch Mahoney).

Justin Nelson: Snug the Joiner/Lion

Justin Nelson is the Executive Producer in charge of marketing and advertising for Orthogonal Productions, appearing onstage as Snug the Joiner and the ferocious lion.
Coming from northern Minnesota, Justin moved to Minneapolis in 2012 to pursue a career in theatre. Justin has appeared on stage multiple times throughout the Twin Cities. Some of his favorites include The Comedy of Errors at Theatre in the Round, Spamalot at C**n Rapids Community Theatre, As You Like It at Cretin-Durham Hall, and more roles and shows than he can name at the Phoenix Theatre. One of his favorite and most important shows was his first Minneapolis production in MCTC's production of Hair, where he met his Assistant Director and husband, Brandon R. Caviness.

Michael Spegar: Flute/Thisbe

Michael Spegar () is thrilled to return to the stage in Orthogonal Productions' 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Michael's Shakespeare credits include Romeo and Juliet(Benvolio), A Comedy of Errors (Antipholus of Syracuse), Antony and Cleopatra (Octavius Caesar), and Macbeth (Malcolm) — as well as a previous run of this very show as Flute.

Carter Roeske: Snout/Wall

Carter is excited to be back working with Orthogonal for the sixth time. Thank you to everyone who makes theater possible! Especially our audiences, and my wife.

We are excited to feature several amazing creators at our Solstice Bazaar on Saturday the 20th. Our creator for the day is Rock Solid Mamas O.G.
