My life looks a lot different than it did when I opened GoodWinter Creative and I'm making some shifts in how I run things to help it feel more manageable. (Translation: I'm a mom now. 😄)

Currently I'm stocking vinyl records, books, magazines, some home decor and a few random and quirky items. Take a look! I'm hoping to get back out there and source fresh vintage goodies so I can fill the shop up more in the very near future!

I’m jumping in on this challenge whenever I can this month! It’s been A LONG TIME since I’ve shared an illustration. Like…maybe last June or July?! I went for a mid-century anthropomorphic cartoon style with this one and just had fun! 😊🔔

Thank you so much for the warm reception for the shop reopening! It’s been a nights-and-weekends-and baby nap times labor of love and just a really fun way for me to get to flex my creative muscles again!

One of the first new items I designed for the shop this year are these quirky classic Christmas movie candles. Each one is named after a random item from the movie, and scented like something inanimate. For example, The Christmas in Connecticut candle smells like Cinnamon/Scented Deception. 😆

In fact, this one might be my favorite!:

GoodWinter Shop is back for the holiday season!

This year I was inspired by vintage advertising and my personal 1940s-1950s Christmas card collection. I leaned more heavily into my graphic design background this time, and created what I think are some really fun mid-century inspired designs! I had fun playing around with some halftone and offset printing effects, as well as breathing new life into original handwriting and type from the 1950s. I hope you find something you love! Just a sneak peek at something I cooked up today! I’m hoping to release some new designs for the holidays in a few weeks…can’t wait to share!

It’s and that means it’s time to dig into ’s deep catalog of incredible thrillers and mysteries! Psycho is obviously a go-to this time of year. But I also really love Rear Window and Vertigo. What’s your favorite Hitchcock movie?!

Be sure to check out this issue of LIFE Magazine in the shop! Alfred Hitchcock appears in one of the most famous and well-known LIFE cover photos in the magazine’s history. There’s a great story about him and his film The Birds inside, along with of course some fun historic and cultural pieces and ads to browse!

It’s hard to find time to do the things you love when there’s a little baby in your house who you love more than the other things you love, and he only takes naps when you’re holding him. 😄😵‍💫

But tonight I found a little “spot” of time to myself, on my patio, to remind myself what quiets my mind and makes me feel creatively fulfilled. So yay. Here’s a Dalmatian friend inspired by some 1940s-1950s children’s book illustrations I admire. ✨
