Live Real Press is stepping into the anthology publishing business.

Our first offering is a collection of stories set in the 5 Second Rule universe. We will be accepting submissions for this anthology soon. This is being published in partnership with writer and game creator Laura from Lucky Newt Games.

Here is the game’s description:
“You are participating in a new study by L&G Inc. Though the compensation isn’t very good, they could be the key to your dream of having superpowers. After weeks of pokes and prods, and far more mental and physical tests than should be legal, you are one of the few whose power awakens! The catch?

You’re stuck in this facility with a few powered individuals until you learn how to work together as a team of superheroes. Oh yeah, and everyone’s power- including yours- is limited by 5 seconds in some way.

So why go through all this?

Because someone mentioned there would be a portal at the end of this training that could take your group anywhere, anytime. And did you catch the part about being a superhero?"

Coming soon, we'll be announcing the submission process and dates. If writing a story about superheroes who only have powers for 5 seconds at a time sounds awesome to you...well, you're my favorite.

As I write this, I am working on fulfilling the Kickstarter.

All told, I had 76 backers for physical books. Of those, one payment failed, four haven't completed their Backerkit surveys, and 3 are locals that I know personally, leaving 68 packages to ship.

Closing in on the end of my first Kickstarter. The books got delivered today. Doing some pestering to get the last few surveys complete, and I'll be sending them out.

First, the kickstarter was successful. Thanks to everyone who backed the campaign, all 145 of you backing at 121% of the goal. Seriously, thank you.

It was kind of a ride. The mid-campaign slump is no joke. 3/4 of the way through, I was 60% funded and not sure if I was going to make it. The final week was a pleasant time to watch the numbers climb.
