I just got a new cinematic camera this week and as I was setting it up I came across the old memory card that was in my DSLR camera. The one I vlogged with when I was first starting Soft Goods.

Late nights. Cheap tacos. Weird projects. Our first 700 sq ft production space in a cold Detroit warehouse (shown here). All of it documented on this little plastic card from 2018.

As I was going down memory lane one night, I decided I would start sharing these stories publicly, so now, once a month, I’m going to share a new chapter of my story with anyone that’s interested. The full unfiltered tale of how Soft Goods came to be. The highs, the lows, the people met along the way.

From our Corktown factory, you can see the mighty
Ambassador Bridge. It stretches across the Detroit River into Windsor, connecting two countries, two communities, and decades of shared history. It’s the busiest international trade route in North America. It’s the route Detroiters run every October during the marathon. It’s the bridge you crossed to visit family, take vacations, and come back home.

We built The Ambassador Cap to honor it.
