We’re looking back at our amazing Book Fair at St. Joseph Academy — and what a success it was! Thank you to all of our students and families who helped make it such a wonderful event.

As summer begins, we encourage all families to keep the love of reading going at home. Reading together throughout the summer helps children strengthen their skills, build a lifelong love for books, and return to school this fall ready to learn and succeed. ☀️📖

The good news? It’s easy! Be sure to stop by our FREE Little Library located by our 17th Street Entrance. Families are welcome to help grow their home library at no cost.

Our Annual SJA Rummage Sale is right around the corner, and starting next week, June 15th, we will begin accepting donations! 🛍️

Do you have gently used items around your home that you no longer need? Consider donating them to support a great cause while giving those items a second life. ♻️✨

Your donations will help make our upcoming Rummage Sale (June 25–27) a success, and all proceeds will go directly toward our Capital Improvements Campaign to continue improving opportunities and spaces for our students. 💙💛

🎓✨ Today, our 8th graders took their final walk through the halls of SJA as students. With graduation just one day away, the entire school community including our Early Childhood classrooms came out to celebrate them with cheers, music, applause, and chants.

It was a special and emotional moment as our graduates reflected on their journey and were surrounded by the love and support of their SJA family. Seeing the younger students look up to them reminded us of the lasting impact they have made on our school community.

Tomorrow is their big day, and we couldn't be prouder of all they have accomplished. Congratulations, Class of 2026! Your future is bright, and we can't wait to celebrate you at graduation. 🎓💙

At SJA, we celebrate not only our students' achievements and academic success, but also the families who support them every step of the way.

Each year, we look forward to two special traditions that allow us to honor and appreciate the important role our families play in our school community. In May, we celebrate Muffins with Mom, and in June, we celebrate Donuts with Dad. These cherished events provide an opportunity for students to spend quality time with their loved ones and create lasting memories together.

Thank you to all of our moms, dads, grandparents, and caregivers for your love, support, and partnership in your children's education. Your encouragement and dedication help our students grow academically, spiritually, and personally each day.

🎶☀️ Mrs. Johnson's third-grade class enjoyed a special mini Faith Music Concert with Mr. Hanson, our former Principal and current Finance Director. Students were delighted to spend time singing beautiful faith-filled songs while enjoying the wonderful weather.

Thank you, Mr. Hanson, for sharing your love of music and faith with our students. It was a joyful afternoon filled with song, smiles, and fellowship! 💙🎵

🏃‍♀️💜 Our St. Joseph Academy girls proudly participated in the annual Girls on the Run 5K! This special tradition is all about empowering young women, building confidence, and celebrating their strength, determination, and accomplishments.

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Buenning for coordinating this beautiful event and for all of the preparation that made it possible. We also extend our gratitude to the coaches and families who encouraged and supported their girls every step of the way.

We are so proud of each participant for crossing the finish line with confidence and courage. Way to go, girls! 🎉🏅

🦋 An SJA Butterfly Story 🦋

Once upon a time in the fall of 2025, there were 3 caterpillars in the school garden. They loved our Dill plants! 🌿

Mrs. Buenning carefully brought them inside and placed them in a butterfly habitat where the kindergarten class watched them munch on plants and form their chrysalis. All winter long, the chrysalis rested quietly in the classroom closet.

Then one day… a beautiful butterfly emerged and fluttered around the kindergarten room! 🖤💛 The students excitedly watched as it found an apple to snack on before being released outside onto the playground to enjoy its new home.

Soon after, a second butterfly hatched and was released during our SJA Green Guardians Family Event, surrounded by children and families of all ages. Finally, the last butterfly emerged, spending a little time as a special visitor in the K5 classroom before the students lovingly released it as well.

What a beautiful reminder of our SJA Core Value of Transformation and Learning with patience, care, and time, wonderful things can grow and transform right before our eyes. ✨
