While there we met artist and muralist, and saw his in progress new mural at the space.

🌟 Hey hey! Our Creative director Vassi is tackling a fun collab!

With the holidays and the end of the year almost here we, like many of you, started to reflect on my achievements, challenges, and lessons learned in 2023.

The most valuable goal to her, on a personal and professional level, that she’s been able to reach is building a few wonderful circles of friends and colleges.
From mom friends, to creative business professionals, to women motion designers.

Surrounding yourself with individuals that inspire you on many different levels, people you can learn from and share your wisdom with - this to her is one of the most important things in life.. And we’re talking about real connections, not just social media likes and comments.

So here’s a character Vassi designed and will animate for the holiday collaboration with the talented and cool women motion designers and new friends Natalie Hobbons Giedre Elliott Kelly Kurtz Sara Wade Liv Ross ✨

Let us introduce you to the talented, Vassi Slavova. 🤩 A Creative Director, mother and Co-Founder of Milwaukee based, independent motion design studio

Blackbox creates animated videos that communicate, challenge and transform, specializing in telling stories with creativity and artistry through motion, including our very own video shared with this community last week.

What moves Vassi Slavova most is her ability to work with organizations like Uplift, who are changing lives and making a positive impact in the community.

Vassi is also an advocate for the craft of animation in the community. She has supervised an internship-feeder program, hosted student tours at her Third Ward studio space, and given presentations about her process. Additionally, she’s the founder of MotionMakers — a networking group that’s been connecting professionals, entrepreneurs and students in the animation industry since 2017. We adore her + the way she is uplifting women + girls through her artistry 🤍
