We miss being with you too! Thankful for the work you do in Milwaukee and the community base you have within your organization!
Despite the distance, the coordinators at Midnight Run still wanted to send our community of volunteers a little reflection on what this organization means to us. Even though we are a little farther apart than normal, we want to make sure you all know we are still keeping our mission strong!
Midnight Run will always strive to serve selflessly, build relationships, and walk with those who are hungry, homeless, or suffer the consequences of society’s unjust structures, honoring the dignity and worth of all.
There are a few common themes heard in this video that we all know and love, especially that of community. Many of our coordinators brought up the wonder and importance of community building, and although that may look different than we’re used to, our desire to keep those ties remains. We’re still communicating with sites all around Milwaukee, even as they are at different points of operation, and are dedicated to continuing to serve the needs of our community. .
What does Midnight Run mean to you? We’d love to hear from our ~community~ of volunteers too! Stay safe, stay happy, stay indoors 💙

During these times, it is important to keep our partners close to our hearts and our actions. We are thankful for the work MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary is doing to support our neighbors in the City of Milwaukee during this time.

Hi Everyone!
In the midst of a crisis, we look for ways to get out and help. As agents of social change, it’s instinctive to get in touch with our community and organize. Today, that looks a little different. In order to care for our neighbors right now, the best thing we can do is stay inside, and that feels strange. But, we adapt! Midnight Run will continue to fight for positive social change, even if that means it’s from our couches instead of at a food pantry, or shelter, or community center.
As COVID-19 continues to affect our normal routines, we know that this is disproportionately negatively affecting vulnerable communities everywhere. Resource stockpiling and social distancing rules have changed the way programs are run, and these places still need our support. So, to start, Midnight Run has decided to organize a fundraiser for the MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary, in collaboration with Marquette MARDI GRAS. MARDI GRAS is a disaster-relief based service organization dedicated to providing proactive, efficient, and value-driven aid to communities impacted by both natural and man-made crises.
We are asking for monetary donations through Venmo (), and have created an Amazon Wishlist (link below). Monetary donations will be sent to our benevolence fund and will be put toward buying needed items that are not available via Amazon. Thank you for your help as we stand with our Milwaukee community during this time!
