Excited to announce I’ll be performing at Milwaukee Pride Fest this year on Saturday June 6th at the Dance Pavilion stage! As an ally of the LGBTQ+ community I’m humbled and extremely appreciative of them choosing me to play for such a great event that brings people together under one roof to celebrate each other, music, art, positive energy, and so much more.

I’ll be bringing that sweet house music to the stage not only to make it one hell of a dance party, but also as a way to honor everyone who Pride Fest is celebrating! For those that didn’t know, House Music’s origin is rooted in the gay community right nearby in Chicago. Its the late 70s, Frankie Knuckles who was a gay man and a DJ from NYC, started playing this new music he created by combining elements of disco, funk, and soul, with new rhythmic and repetitive sounds from a Roland TR909 Drum Machine at a place called “The Warehouse.” The people coined it “House Music” because you could only find it with him and it was being played at “The House”, which was a safe space for all but in particular for the gay and q***r community at the time. A whole new genre was born and producers/DJs/listeners to go with it that would eventually travel overseas and become a global phenomenon in clubs, venues, festivals and more that has evolved into a whole electronic dance music scene.

As a DJ I’ve always been about one thing in particular with music and it’s how it can unite people of all backgrounds, genders, ideologies, make everyone feel something together yet at the same time unique to each person. I love being able to do that weekly but I’m really looking forward to doing that on a big stage and here in my city for you all beautiful people!

Its $5 per person to judge the soup competition along with a raffle that benefits !

Raffle prizes include: Packers tickets, Bucks tickets, A Brady Street bundle, a Water Street bundle, and more!
