in coordination with the Maritime Heritage Alliance presents a "Small Boat Experience" Noon-5pm on Friday, June 12 and 10am - 5pm on Saturday, June 13 at the docks at Lakeshore State Park in Milwaukee.
Free Admission and open to the public.
Experience getting out on-the-water on a variety of wood boats, most of which were built by students from a variety of schools and youth organizations in Milwaukee. Participants must be at least 5 years old and weigh more than 50lbs, and all minors must be accompanied by an adult, sign a waiver and wear a life jacket. AHB will provide the boats and gear and life guards will be on hand along with safety boats for the public to row and paddle in the north and south lagoons at Lakeshore State Park. The 38' wood Concordia cutter "Champion" of the Maritime Heritage Alliance from Traverse Bay will be on hand for ship tours and a few limited sails. Join us for this fun event.
