In observance of Juneteenth, the Dominican Center will be closed on Friday, June 19.

We will resume normal business hours on Monday, June 22.

As we commemorate this important day in American history, we encourage everyone to take time to reflect on the significance of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice.

Mark your calendars! Our first Mobile Food Pantry of the season is happening TODAY, Wednesday, June 17 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the Dominican Center, located at 2470 W. Locust Street.

Amani families can receive free meat, dairy, fresh produce, pantry staples, and more while supplies last. Items are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to arrive early.

What an amazing evening at BluTender: Battle of the Bartenders!

Thanks to your generosity, we raised nearly $3,000 to support Dominican Center’s work in the Amani neighborhood.

🏆 Congratulations to Julia Wilson, our 2026 BluTender Champion! Thank you to Julia and Alderman Russell Stamper II for bringing energy, fun, and friendly competition to the event.

We are grateful to everyone who attended, donated, tipped, sponsored, volunteered, and supported this event. Every dollar raised helps strengthen our community through housing, economic opportunity, community engagement, and resident-led revitalization.

Amani residents, join us on Wednesday, June 17 at 3:30 PM for a neighborhood walk with 7th District Alderman DiAndre Jackson and representatives from City service departments.

This is an opportunity to walk the neighborhood together, identify concerns, share ideas, and connect directly with City leaders about the issues that matter most to our community.
