Couch Flambeau
Couch Flambeau was formed in 1982, and continues to ride the wave of post-rock credibility. Enjoy the (Ghost) ride.
Almost everything written about the history of Couch Flambeau on the internet is false. About Couch Flambeau:
During the mid 70’s, teens Jay Tiller and Neil Socol set about amusing themselves by writing and recording uniquely raucous but entertaining songs using an amateur two track multi-speed tape recorder. Crude versions of many future Couch staples such as “I Don’t Want to be an Eddy” and “Mo

Here's Jay Tiller of Couch Flambeau digging the Chuck Norris book by author/music scribe Byron Coley, who said "Ghostride - Eddy's Version" will certainly inspire more kids to start a band than the first Velvet Underground album - probably more than 'Meet the Beatles' too...!"

Why get a used Bunny Hideout T-Shirt from some rock star's estate for $100, when you can get a new one directly from the band for $24 plus S&H? His DNA not included, but for now, until the end of June, we will toss in a Rock with Your Sock On cassette (rare). https://couchflambeau.bandcamp.com/merch/bunny-hideout-t-shirt

Attention Wax Hounds —
On Friday, May 1st — which happens to be Bandcamp Friday — we're releasing a limited vinyl edition of our 1989 LP "Ghostride" on Bandcamp. On Bandcamp Fridays, Bandcamp waives its cut, meaning your money goes directly to us.
This special release is titled "Ghostride – Eddy's Version." Each copy features a one-of-a-kind jacket, hand-drawn by Jay Tiller and signed by both Jay and Neil Socol. The digital download — available on its own as well — includes the rare track "Models."
"Ghostride" was recorded as a duo, and in retrospect it feels like a moment when the band's musical, studio, and songwriting instincts converged in a particularly focused way. While several tracks later appeared on the "I Did a Power Slide in the Taco Stand" anthology CD, "Ghostride" was conceived very deliberately as a vinyl LP.
The sequencing, the spacing between tracks, and details like the locked trail-out groove on "Dogshow" were all part of how we thought about the record as an object — meant to be experienced from start to finish.
