Today, we honor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his legacy of fighting for racial equality and justice through nonviolence. It's unique as the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service, encouraging Americans to volunteer and improve their communities to build the "Beloved Community" Dr. King envisioned. The day is marked by marches, speeches, and community service projects.
Happy Birthday 🎂 to Community Huddle Founder & Executive Director, Rev. Byron Marshall!
Community Huddle wishes you a Happy New Year 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣! May goodness and mercy follow you into the new year and all the days of your life.

Residents are encouraged to apply today for flood-related relief provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Assistance is available on a first come, first served basis for Wisconsin counties impacted by recent severe storms and flooding. The disaster declaration is expected to make nearly $30 million in FEMA Individual Assistance available to affected counties.
Residents who sustained losses and damage to their homes are now able to apply for FEMA assistance online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by calling the FEMA Helpline at 1-800-621-3362. For any questions about FEMA Individual Assistance and how to apply, call the FEMA Helpline or email [email protected]. The FEMA helpline is available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
Please note: FEMA cannot provide assistance for disaster needs that have been met by another source such as insurance or other programs. However, if your insurance or another program does not cover all your disaster-caused needs, individuals may be eligible for assistance from FEMA.

May 1 is National Day of Prayer. We pray for justice, for peace, and for the soul of our nation and all nations around the world.

We join in prayer and with the litany of voices expressing profound sadness on the passing of his holiness, Pope Francis, who was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and who served as the religious leader of the Roman Catholic Church as the first Jesuit pope and the first from the Americas. Throughout his papacy, he was a beacon of compassion, coexistence, and global unity. In his 12 years he reformed the Roman Catholic Church. He turned a vatican building into a palace for the poor for homeless people. He washed the feet of immigrants and prisoners, and when he traveled he met with the poor and marginalized. His unwavering dedication to peace, social justice, and his care and concern for the poor touched people of all faiths and beliefs across the world. 🕊️

On this sacred Good Friday, we remember and reflect on the suffering, crucifixion, and death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His selfless sacrifice was not in vain—it was the divine act of love that opened the door to salvation and eternal life. By His wounds we are healed. ‘It is finished” in John 19:30 refers to the final words of Jesus on the cross, meaning the work of salvation was complete. It signifies that his sacrifice was sufficient to atone for the sins of humanity, and there was nothing more needed to be done. The Greek word for "it is finished" is "tetelestai," which is a declaration of victory and completion.
