Work continues on the $18 million South 16th Street Bridge rehabilitation in Milwaukee. This project is transforming the historic bascule bridge into a fixed span while preserving its legacy through interpretive displays along the Hank Aaron State Trail. From structural steel repairs and new lightweight concrete decks to river improvements and enhanced pedestrian features, every phase is helping extend the bridge's service life while honoring its history.
Congratulations to our team members celebrating work anniversaries in July! Thank you for your dedication, hard work, and contributions to DAAR Engineering. We’re proud to recognize your milestones and appreciate the impact you make every day.

DAAR Engineering was proud to sponsor the inaugural Hatchet Mid-Summer Mile in Tomahawk! It was great to see athletes of all ages come together for an evening of competition, community, and fun. Congratulations to all the participants, and thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and fellow sponsors who made the event a success. We're honored to support an event that helps raise funds for new uniforms for the Tomahawk Middle School Cross Country Team.

What looks like routine pile installation is actually months of planning in action. On the eastbound I-94 project adjacent to the Veterans Cemetery, crews performed what is believed to be Wisconsin's first hydraulic sheet pile pressing. The specialized equipment - brought in from California - allowed sheet piles to be installed with virtually zero vibration, protecting the nearby mausoleum located less than 10 feet away.
This innovative approach demonstrates how thoughtful planning, the right equipment, and close collaboration can solve unique construction challenges while respecting sensitive surrounding areas.
