For those of you whoāve been here a whileā¦
you might notice things feel a little different.
Less posts.
More⦠me.
About a year ago I learned something:
f*ck the algorithm.
I donāt post to keep up anymore.
I post when it actually means something.
Whether thatās fishing, being outside, Norse traditions, or just a moment that feels real.
Iām still doing all the same thingsā¦
just being more present while I do them.
Keeping most moments to myself.
If youāre new here, scroll around.
You might find fishing.
You might find the outdoors.
You might even find something about yourself.
Either way⦠welcome. šš¼

Spring fishing is different up northā¦
Itās not just about catching fish,
itās about getting back outside.
Rigging the kayak.
Feeling the sun again.
Chasing bass like youāve been thinking about all winter.
We back. š£
Follow if youāve been waiting all winter for this too!šš¼

Bass fishing, beer, and bad decisionsā¦
this is what actually happens on the water š
Itās chaos.
Itās confidence.
Itās cold beer and bad decisions.
And that voice in your head?
Yeah⦠heās got a plan.
No way that dude is a menace to society.

Some days the real adventure isnāt fishing on the water or hiking and hunting deep in the woods.
Itās at the sining room table⦠drawing tacos, punk-rock cats, pinecones, and whatever else our imagination dreams up.
Just a pencil.
Some blank paper.
And a reminder that creativity isnāt something we grow out of.
Funny how the smallest moments end up shaping the biggest parts of life.
Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

Most people know me for fishing.
But long before kayak tournaments and chasing bass on the river⦠I was helping raise money for something that matters a whole lot more.
During my years in country radio, our community helped raise over $1 million for St. Jude Childrenās Research Hospital.
Now Iām proud to continue that mission through the fishing world.
This season Iāve joined the Love Bass. Stop Cancer. movement.
And Iām putting my own commitment behind it:
For every bass I catch in competition this season, Iām donating $5 to St. Jude.
Because every fish should mean something more.
But the real impact happens when the whole fishing community gets involved.
You can join the mission too.
Become a Partner in Hope for just $19/month and youāll receive the official Love Bass. Stop Cancer. shirt while helping continue saving lives.
Link in bio.
Letās make every cast count.
If youāre a fellow angler⦠I challenge you to donate $1 per fish you catch this season.

Thereās something honest about a good book.
Especially ones about wilderness, old gods, and survival.
The kind of stories that remind you humans are meant to be outside⦠figuring things out.
Books sharpen the mind the same way time outdoors sharpens the soul. Yes, the outdoors teaches a lot. But sometimes the best lessons start in a book.
If youāre a guy who hunts, fishes, hikes, or just wants to get 1% better, reading is one of the most underrated tools out there.
Whatās the best book youāve read this year?
š Iām adding to the list.
Sometimes you just need to lay down on the forest floor.
Not to fish.
Not to hunt.
Not to hike another mile.
Just to be outside.
No phone.
No boat.
No noise from the world you left behind.
Just dirt, pine needles, and the quiet rhythm of the woods doing what itās always done.
Most people think the outdoor life is about the catchā¦
the big bassā¦
the hero photo at the boat ramp.
But if you spend enough time fishing rivers, hiking trails, or wandering through forests, you learn something different.
The real magic of the outdoors happens in the quiet moments.
The moment you stop moving.
Lay down in the woods.
Listen to the wind in the trees and the birds overhead.
And your brain finally slows down enough to remember why you came outside in the first place.
After years of fishing, hunting, and exploring wild places, Iāve noticed something:
There are two kinds of people in the outdoors.
The ones always rushing to the next fishing spotā¦
the next castā¦
the next trail.
ā¦and the ones who eventually stop and just lay on the forest floor for a minute.
The second group usually understands nature a little better.
So be honest with me:
Do you ever do this too?
1ļøā£ Always moving
2ļøā£ The one laying in the woods
If fishing, nature, and the outdoors help you become 1% better, youāre my kind of people.
Follow along for fishing, outdoor life, and learning what the wild still has to teach us.

Rate my fishing shop.
Truth is⦠the season doesnāt start on the water.
It starts here.
Hooks getting sharpened.
Rods getting rigged.
Baits organized for the days ahead.
Quiet work most people never see.
But this is where confidence comes from.
Preparation makes the moment.
Be honest anglersā

The same guy chasing bass on Pool 9ā¦
is the guy obsessing over brand strategy on a Thursday morning.
Camo hat. Coffee. Laptop covered in warriors.
Because this is war; just a different kind.
Creative war.
Discipline war.
āDo I quit or do I level up?ā war.
Aesthetic matters. Energy matters. Intent matters.
Iāve spent 10+ years mastering social, branding, storytelling. Not to go viral⦠but to build things that last.
This is the side nobody sees.
And itās the side that creates everything you do see.
