This was a wonderful opportunity for Kesha to present alongside national, expert parent-leader professionals from diverse backgrounds. Denial is just part of the grieving process. But many people correlate grieving with actual death and don't understand that parents can face very similar emotions once they receive an autism diagnosis for their child(ren). It's so difficult for parents of autism to overcome denial sometimes.
Check out this heartwarming ๐clip of rapper OT Genasis discussing denial and acceptance regarding his son's autism diagnosis with host/ rnb singer Syleena Johnson who also has a child on the spectrum. Much love to SisterCircle and TVOne for celebrating autism awareness in our community.

Prevailing Pathway was absolutely humbled to be present for Bronzeville Week's Street Renaming Celebration ๐ซ in honor of Milwaukee civil rights powerhouse ๐Vel Phillips, WI's first Black judge, first non-white Secretary of State, and Milwaukee's first female judge and so many other firsts!
As so many of us ponder over stepping out of our comfort zone and into greatness...we have to channel the spirit of our Elder Mrs. Phillips! She has shown us firsthand where courage, tenacity, and fearlessness can lead you.
I am inspired by her legacy to continue my work supporting families affected by ๐autism in ways that are unprecedented in Milwaukee.
It was an important & impactful day...full of joy, celebration, and encouragement to do the necessary work!
๐Thank you Aldw. Milele A. Coggs for a job-well done in executing today's event, but more importantly, your diligence in renaming 4th Street, from Capitol Dr. to St Paul Ave., North Vel R. Phillips Ave...just as Vel had wanted! ๐โค
