This week is Pollution Prevention Week.

At MRD, pollution prevention starts long before the first building comes down.

Our approach will include:

• Dust suppression and water controls to help protect air quality
• Proper containment and removal of asbestos and other regulated materials
• Stormwater and runoff controls to help protect surrounding soil and waterways
• Separating, recovering, and recycling metals, concrete, and other building materials
• On-site concrete crushing and reuse where appropriate
• Responsible handling, transportation, and disposal of materials that cannot be recycled
• Careful site planning to minimize unnecessary disturbance and prepare properties for their next use

On many projects, MRD achieves landfill diversion rates of 95%+.

Responsible demolition is about more than what comes down. It is about how the work is planned, managed, recovered, and recycled.

Evy and Tim fished the North East blow. Fishing was a little tough but they still had a good cooler full of fish. Thank you and will see you next year.
