WEVI Connecting Corridors Request For Proposals Released

Hello,

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is pleased to announce the release of the Wisconsin Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (WEVI) Connecting Corridors Request for Proposals (RFP) and application package. Click to view the RFP document and the submission package.

Online proposals will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. Central Time on Friday, July 24th, 2026. Proposals submitted after this deadline will not be considered. WisDOT will review the submitted proposals and announce awards in Fall 2026.

This round of funding focuses on providing additional charging options along highly traveled US/State Highway corridors that are not included in Wisconsin's Alternate Fuel Corridor (AFC) System. Like WEVI Round 1 and WEVI Round 1.5, charging infrastructure projects will be scored and awarded through a competitive grant. Funding covers up to 80% of eligible costs. Prospective grantees are required to provide a minimum 20 percent match of the eligible costs from non-federal sources.

WisDOT will host a webinar on Tuesday June 9th at 1:00 p.m. Central Time to walk through the application process and answer questions. Any general or RFP-specific questions can be sent to: [email protected]. Questions regarding the RFP should contain the subject line: "WEVI Connecting Corridors Question." A Questions and Answers document will be available on the Electrification of Wisconsin website.

This RFP is final. WisDOT reserves the right to modify the RFP document and the awarding process.

For more information on the WEVI Program, please see the Electrification of Wisconsin website. Program updates will also be posted there.
