Body Language MKE
Creating safe, inclusive spaces for all to explore their mind/body connection through movement.
Answering all of your questions about our new, limited time program: The Embodied Anatomy Academy
Level 3 - Deeper Exploration
Level 3 takes the fundamental movements from Levels 1 & 2 and allows you to experience them in a new way.
You’ll be asked to bring more independence, coordination, control, balance, and trust to the work. The pace is deliberate, and you should feel confident with the movements and basic equipment setups from Levels 1-2.
This allows us to spend less time explaining the basics and more time exploring the practice itself.
Level 2 - Build on the Foundation
Level 2 builds on the work of Level 1 and begins to introduce more complex positions and movement patterns.
You’ll explore lifting the hips off the mat, deeper spinal sequencing through flexion, extension, side bending, and rotation, and building strength, mobility, and stability while supporting your body in different positions.
Level 1 and Level 2 are complementary. Don’t leave Level 1 behind when you begin exploring Level 2.

Happy birthday to the incredible, talented, kind, smart, beautiful, hilarious Sami 🥰 Our fearless leader and the person who has brought all of us together ❤️ We love you and hope you have the best day ❤️❤️🎉
Level 1 - The Foundation
Level 1 is where we build and return to the foundation of the Pilates practice.
It’s a great place to start if you’re new to Pilates, but it’s not a beginner-only class. We work on form, fundamental movement patterns, and familiarity with the equipment while developing a deeper understanding of how your own body moves.
Think of Level 1 as a place to slow down, pay attention, and build a strong relationship with the work. There is always more to discover in the foundation.
Leveling classes is meant to give you more predictability with your practice but it can also help you learn at your pace. We want to give you more freedom to choose how you will meet your practice each time you walk into the studio.
Throughout your journey, you will spiral through the different levels, meaning you’ll come back to level 1 when you want to come back to your foundations. You might jump to level 3 when you want to challenge those refreshed foundations. And so on…
We are excited to bring this to the studio to help you organize your practice and help you move within the rhythms of your life ❤️
A little more about our new Pilates class levels ✨
As our BLP community continues to grow, we’re introducing levels to help you better understand the work we’re exploring in each class and how it all fits together.
But here’s what we really want you to know: The levels are here to support your practice, not define it.
Levels 1–3 are open for you to explore. You don’t have to graduate from one to the next, and choosing a higher level isn’t a measure of how good you are at Pilates. Every level offers something valuable, and your practice can look different from day to day.
Level 4 is our advanced classical practice, with access through a readiness assessment.
Our goal isn’t to get you to the highest level possible. It’s to help you understand your body, discover how you move, and build strength, confidence, and freedom in your practice.
Not sure where to start? Ask your teacher. We’re always happy to help you find the class that supports you.
See you in the studio! 🤍

We’re not treating anatomy as a collection of disconnected topics.
Everything builds.
That’s why Embodied Anatomy Academy is a six-month experience.
We’ll begin by creating a map of the body, then gradually explore relationships and connections, revisit what we’ve learned, and apply those concepts through movement.
You’ll have:
• 5 Saturday workshops
• Weekly Wednesday Academy classes at 5:30 PM
• 2 complimentary December refinement classes
• Franklin Method concepts + imagery
• Six months of progressive exploration
The goal isn’t to learn something once and move on.
It’s to return to the ideas, experience them in different ways, and build on your understanding over time.
That’s what makes this an Academy rather than simply a series of workshops.
