Winning the 2024 Thors Throwdown at Badger Kart Club also won us an arrive and drive at Margay Racing LLC Gateway Ignite Challenge this year. While Mother Nature ended up getting the best of the weekend, it was still a great experience showing up to fresh equipment ready to roll onto the track and race. We did get a day of practice in and had a good time learning a new track with help from the crew at Margay.

Felt like with a couple more sessions we could have been a contender. The team at Ignite has graciously extended the offer to another race next year, and I’m looking forward to jumping back in the seat!

Decided to try and defend our title at the Thors Throwdown at Badger Kart Club after a season of very limited racing. Haven’t give much effort but locked in for the weekend and had decent results.

Turned the fastest laps in both Senior Medium (34 karts) and Senior Heavy (20 karts), but came up on the wrong side of two photo finishes. I think we had the fastest kart at the track that day, just needed a couple moves to go our way. Given the competition and lack of seat time this year, I’ll take two podiums.

Huge thank you to the track for putting on such an awesome event with a huge turnout. Most of all thank you to everyone who came out to support!

First race and first win of the season! Picked up the win in Senior Heavy and a podium in Senior Medium (congrats to Louis on the win). I also got to see my main man Jackson put a dub on the scorecard early too.

Sitting in the winter racing hiatus and realized I never posted my last couple updates of the season, with the first being about the Thor’s Throwdown. Such a busy day (the rain didn’t help) but overall the most fun day of racing I’ve had.

We podiumed in the Ignite class after winning the dash. Fell short in heavy after losing a bumper while leading the heat race and earning the hard charger prize in the feature. However we were able to pick up the win in the most coveted class (Senior Medium) and pick up the hammer and a total of $1,100.

Huge thank you to the Tyler’s for letting me run their Ignite kart, and to my dad and Ryan Lindstadt for being the MVP’s of the day, running around the pits to get the karts ready. Without you guys none of that would have been possible.

Such an awesome event and can’t wait for the next one!

Double header weekend in the books.
Saturday was decent. We were quick and qualified 1st in Medium, but finished p2 in both Senior Medium and Senior Heavy (broke the track record in Heavy.)

Sunday we got bit by bad luck and broke our 14 race 1st or 2nd streak. Mechanical failure in the second Senior Medium heat, forced us to miss the second Senior Heavy heat while we repaired. Was lined up to start 21st out of 36 in the Medium feature when it started pouring, ending the day, and officially scoring towards the back in both classes.

After a virtually unscathed season so far, it was bound to happen eventually. But huge thanks to my mom, dad and Dan for helping get it ready for the feature. Will have everything ready for a redemption weekend this Sunday.

Had an awesome time yesterday on The Racing Round Up Show talking about Badger Kart Club and its upcoming events, such as the 65th Anniversary on July 27th-28th, and the Thor’s Throw-down on October 13th. Thanks to everyone who tuned in! And if you missed it, you can catch their TV segment on Saturday 11:30 am on CW18 Milwaukee.

Badger Kart Club points race #6 is in the books, and it was a very hot and very successful day.

Senior Medium had 29 entries:
Heat 1: 6th -> 1st
Heat 2: 25th -> 9th
Feature: 2nd -> 1st & New Track Record!

Senior Heavy had 10 entries:
Heat 1: 4th -> 1st
Heat 2: 5th -> 2nd
Feature: 2nd -> 1st
Great fun and clean battle with the reigning class champ led to a nail biter finish!

Can’t thank everyone who was there to support enough! I have to give a big shoutout to Nick Ksobiech for helping me dial in the kart on a completely different surface than what we are used to seeing at the track. I will be on The Racing Round Up Show tomorrow 7/16, feel free to tune in!

Had a decent day at the races this past Sunday for points race #4 at Badger Kart Club.

Senior Medium:
Heat 1: 21st -> 5th
Heat 2: 1st -> 1st
Feature: 1st -> 2nd

Senior Heavy:
Heat 1: 4th -> 2nd
Heat 2: 6th -> 2nd
Feature: 2nd -> 2nd

Not too much to say other than we found speed too late in each race. Fastest lap in Medium by 2 tenths, and .009 off in Heavy, but was on skates until the last lap in both classes.

Didn’t put a scratch on the kart and we think we figured out our issue. Looking forward to the next race, and hope to see some of you there!

Lots of racing this past weekend between Road America and Badger Kart Club.

First time racing the full track configuration at Road in 3 years and was out to lunch the first half of the day but was dialed by the feature. Ran out of time and finished 4th out of 14.

Senior Heavy at Badger, we had to start the heat at the back after coming in light in qualifying. Regardless we won the feature by 8 seconds and broke the track record by 4 tenths.

Senior Medium qualified 1st out of 32, had enough pace to win, but finished 2nd after a tight race long battle with good ole Nick Ksobiech. Broke the track record again by half a second.
