Happy 2nd Gotcha Day, to our sweet Baxter Bean.
We couldn’t ask for a better dog, and Henry couldn’t ask for a better big brother.

(And what better way to celebrate than Henry finally noticing Baxter for the first time this morning)

These grey dreary days have me thinking about autumn last year when the colors were glorious and I was lucky enough to meet Curtis and his handsome pup, Cooper. We had a great time romping around the leaves and bridges, ALWAYS on leash, a rule that a local citizen reminded us about. There is no proof otherwise.

Happy Squirrel Appreciation Day!

I would like to appreciate Tilty, our neighborhood squirrel who passed away last year. He would run to us when called and visited our window multiple times each day. Wildlife is all around, but it is truly extraordinary to make a connection.

Tilty was a special squirrel who, for nearly 2 years, made us smile and laugh (and probably look like lunatics to our neighbors). He is missed dearly.

One year ago today I met and said goodbye to Fitzgerald William. He was a movie star to me, ever since seeing his charismatic self on the show . The entire audience at the Pabst cheered for Fitzgerald when he got on stage at Joe Pera’s standup. Movie star.

Getting to photograph him, I was over the moon nervous and excited and honored. But it might as well have been Harrison Ford with how professional and patient and handsome he was. Just a sweetheart. It was easy to see how much he loved, and was loved by, his family.

Molly, Sean, and Rosie: Thank you for sharing your Fitz with Joe and the rest of us. He is remembered by all.

In October, Nala reached the rainbow bridge. She was one of my first photoshoots and I remember how relieved I had been at how photogenic she was with so much adorable personality. She made my job easy (on the flip side she made choosing photos for this post extremely difficult because Mandy and I wanted to pick them all 🥰).

I know she will be missed and my heart goes out to her family.

The world lost another beautiful dog... Archie Randazzo-Grady. He was taken care of so well and went on so many adventures, I doubt he will be able to tell the difference between life on earth and on the rainbow bridge. Send peace and love and rolling green hills to Archie. Support and love and extra big hugs to the Randazzo-Grady family.

Happy Gotcha Day, Baxter Bean!!! One year ago today this fuzzy stinker was added to our family, making Mandy and I as frenzied with happiness as he is in this photo.

This is Jackson. I had the good fortune of meeting him last fall. He is such a good boy but is unfortunately not feeling too well right now.
Please send out your positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, or whatever you've got to help him get back on his feet and get his perky ears standing tall. ❤️🐶❤️

(Unfortunately we are not currently dog-sitting for our buddy Baxter but instead getting ready to play volleyball out in this mess called spring. 😭)

Time flies. Life gets in the way and suddenly it’s been a half year since I posted. And now my in-laws, Aaron and Nicole, have two beautiful children.

But this is why I love photos, memories frozen in time. Please enjoy a look back at this wonderful family in fall of 2022 just before their little addition.
