Four years after I last saw her tearing apart Metra's Rock Island Corridor with the Joliet Rocket, the 2-8-4 and I reconvened south of Cleveland, on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, for the acclaimed "Steam In The Valley". Come along as the Lima-built S-2 Berkshire winds her way along this former Baltimore and Ohio line, first made famous as a tourist hauler by the Cuyahoga Valley Line and Grand Trunk Western 4070 in mid-1970s. In spite of the line being closed south of Jaite due to erosion issues, 765 nonetheless puts on a stunning show, performing numerous photo runbys at Brecksville, strutting upstream in the rain, and delighting passengers, rail fans, and passerby alike, her original whistle and signature stack talk echoing down the valley like a call to another time.
