Another spectacular night on Okauchee Lake!
What a joy it was to witness yet another incredible fireworks show—an Independence Day tradition that never fails to bring people together.
Seeing the lake illuminated by hundreds of boats, each glowing against the night sky, was truly a breathtaking sight. It’s heartwarming to see so many families and friends returning year after year, making this celebration a cherished tradition of their own.
We hope everyone had a safe, joyful, and memorable Fourth of July. Until next year!

Last night was full of adventure! This is a shot that I've been wanting to get for a very long time.

Big shout out to Steve Mann for scouting this spot out and letting me tag along. This was about 3 miles away from Holy Hill to be able to obtain this shot making the moon appear supper big. Although it is a super moon the long lens makes it appear much bigger. Behind the scene and more shots in the comments.
While coming home from this photo shoot some young lady was tail gating me. as I came to a stop she rear ended me 🙄. All I wanted to do is get home and look through my photos. It wasn't a serious accident more of a fender bender but still annoying to deal with as she had no insurance. Police were called and she was given a citation. Now I have to deal with getting my fender fixed.
After getting home I was given an alert from my Aurora app the there was some heavy activity. I missed it as it was short lived in our area between 10:20pm and 10:40pm. I may have missed the aurora but was at least happy I got my moon shot 😊

Here’s another take on the eclipse when we were in Greensburg, Indiana. Two photos layered together, one with the 360 camera with the solar eclipse in the center seconds before totality.

I had another chance to edit one more after getting home at 1am. Highways were packed as predicted. Gas station lines to use the bathroom were a 20+ minute wait.
Either way I would do it all over again. such a cool experience.
We had some incredible double rainbows when driving down to Indianapolis. I also have video I'll be posting of lighting striking over and around our car while driving. It didn't hit the car but spidered around our car front and back by a few blocks. CRAZY LOUD!!
So much to go through yet....
