As of July 1, the WISDOM Action Network has a new interim Executive Director. With David Liners' retirement, Ms. Yolanda Perkins will take on that role. Yolanda has been an organizer with WISDOM for nine years, and she serves as WISDOM Associate Director, as well as the Integrated Voter Engagement director.

The mission of the WISDOM Action Network (WAN) remains to support the social justice work of WISDOM, through education of the public and outreach to communities. The WISDOM Action Network works to inform the public about the stances and actions of public officials, and those who seek election, regarding things like criminal legal system reform, immigrant rights, housing options for low-income people, and more. WAN has worked to educate the public regarding candidates for President, Governor, State Legislature, State Supreme Court, and even local offices. WAN, under Yolanda's leadership, will continue this work with even greater intensity in future years.

Wisconsin has seen some turbulent times in recent years, but together we have made progress. We believe our state might be on the eve of a very different future, and the WISDOM Action Network is committed to doing its part to ensure that Wisconsin reclaims its Progressive heritage. The next phase of Wisconsin's history needs to be one in which we finally make major reforms to our criminal legal system, repair our public school funding and our health care, and treat all people with respect. That can and will happen when everyone gets involved in the conversation and when we all claim a role in civic life.

Now more than ever, we must unite to protect our future from MAGA politicians who are plotting a dangerous takeover of our lives and government.

Today is Election Day! No matter what, all Wisconsinites deserve quick relief and support after a natural disaster. Vote NO on both amendments on August 13 to protect the right of all of us to get what we need quickly and fairly

Vote NO this August 13 to protect our communities and ensure our governor can continue to provide the timely support we depend on. on both constitutional amendments

08/10/2024

Our state relies on federal funds for our schools, parks, health care, and so much more. I'm voting NO ❌ on both constitutional amendments in August so that our governor can accept and allocate federal funds without being stopped or delayed by the legislature ⏳

Wisconsinites take care of one another 💗 When natural disasters like floods or tornados hit our communities, we need relief quickly. The amendments on your Aug 13 ballot could drag out the process and delay necessary federal funds from getting to the folks who need it. ❌ on both constitutional amendments this August.
