Check out this light beam captured today around 8:44 a.m. during a lightning strike in the Gulf of Mexico just south of Navarre Beach Fishing Pier! The effect is reportedly caused by the rolling shutter of a digital camera during a strike. A waterspout can also be seen to the left of the strike. Photo taken by Matthew Wayne. James Spann
