WAIT UNTIL DARK
by: Frederick Knotts
Directed by: Ken Armitage Ass't Dir: Barbara Hamilton
This author spent much of his writing efforts on creating the perfect murder scenario. Other titles you may know are "Write Me A Murder" and "Dial M for Murder" which became an Alfred Hitchcock thriller. Wait Until Dark is uniquely suspenseful as the theme explores how can blind persons defend themselves. The plot centers around a recently blinded woman who unknowingly has a doll filled with drugs. Three con men break into her home, terrorizing her in an attempt to regain the drugs. This is not a "spoiler alert" as the audience is well aware of the situation. The suspense is in the hands of the director to cast the parts so that he/she may create the intrigue through the actors.
Ken Armitage has done just that with the upcoming production of Wait Until Dark at the Panhandle Community Theatre at 4646 Woodbine Road Pace, FL. Ken, very humbly, says the key scenes are "chilling" as his cast of characters create drama, intrigue and breath-holding suspense which will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Cast members are:
Jason Lewing as Mike
Norm Boyd as Carlino
Joseph Perna as Roat
Katie Foley as Susy
Milan Smith as Sam
Rina Champlin as Gloria
Aaron Yabut as Patrolmen #1
Hope Ozimek as Patrolman #2

Are you or someone you know interested in joining Santa Rosa Young Professionals?
SRYP promotes networking with other like-minded individuals, developing professional skills, and involved in giving back to our community. SRYP chooses a nonprofit each year and everything we do goes to support that nonprofit.
This year, Feeding the Gulf Coast is our organization. We have donated our time volunteering at their facility, will host a Lunch and Learn, do a food drive and also donate at our Christmas party. We are also asked to volunteer at other community events, anything to get involved and help our community - we are there!
SRYP meets every second Monday at 11:30 am at different locations. Follow and Like us on Facebook to RSVP for our meetings and to know where we will be meeting next!
