You know you're from Milton if you remember:
Downtown Milton in the late 50s. At this point, commerce was still thriving downtown; however, the flight of retail was not far away.

DOLLY PARTON IN JAY, FL:
On the evening of October 8, 1968, two country and western greats came to little old Jay, FL, to perform a benefit concert. They were Porter Wagoner and Hank Locklin. They brought with them a relative newcomer to the country scene, a young Dolly Parton. The venue was the Green Acres Pony Track and Country Club, located off Old Pollard Rd. It was known for good food, and gambling on the pony (harness) racing. Dolly and Porter Wagner even signed the inside wall of the club. The venue is long gone, replaced by sporadic housing and farmerโs fields. We looked for any sign of it but couldnโt find any. We did not know this until we stopped into the Jay Historical Museum yesterday.

Shrekโ was actually based off of a real person named Maurice Tillet. He was a French wrestler who married an beautiful woman named Olga.
Maurice Tillet was a French professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, The French Angel. Tillet was a leading box office draw in the early 1940s and was twice World Heavyweight Champion by the American Wrestling Association run by Paul Bowser in Boston.
Weโre setting up. Weather is great. Come join us for spring festival.
It's been an exciting time over at FPC, Milton with all the new faces and hearts, babies and baptisms. We've been busy worshipping and sacramenting.
Now it's time to visit. Relax. Meet our neighbors and families. Share food and hug necks and show off our garden.
Everyone, EVERYONE, is invited! We hope our Milton neighbors will come over and visit. If you want to share some food, bring some over. If not, come eat anyway.
As usual, we'll have beautiful tables set up--and right in the street so you can't miss us.
This is the day the Lord has made. Let us all rejoice and be glad in it!!
