- This Wednesday, Dec 9, the Florida State Park service will be cleaning debris on Garcon Point by Hurricane Sally. The large items have been removed but now they need volunteers to help collect the small stuff. You can meet them in the gravel parking lot at the corner of Garcon Point Road and Dickerson City Road at 10:00 AM. You should bring closed toed shoes, gloves, long pants, sunscreen, water and/or lunch. It is outdoors, everyone will be socially distant. Mask are not required by encouraged.

The Fireman's Station has a monument to the fire fighters - the sculpture was made by Locklin students out of old scrap found at the city and county - the bricks are left over from the new fire house in Milton
