Thank you, Midvale. Thank you for believing in me and giving me the honor of continuing to serve this great community as mayor. I'm excited for a little rest, but even more excited to keep moving Midvale forward together! π
Thank you to all of those who stepped up to run for office this cycle, and congratulations to Midvale City Councilmembers Bryant Brown and Denece Mikolash for their victories tonight. I couldn't ask for a better council, colleagues, or friends.

As we approach the final hours of this election season, I want to share some final words from my October 2025 message in the Midvale Journal.
"Midvale is proof that local government matters. Itβs where your voice is strongest, your leaders are most accessible, and the results are most visible. I am proud to serve as your mayor, and I am even prouder to be your neighbor. Together, we can continue building a community that reflects the very best of who we are."
No matter the outcome tomorrow night, and whether you plan to vote for me or not, serving this incredible community for the past eight years has been a true honor that I'm thankful for every day. I'm so proud of what we've accomplished together in Midvale, and I'm excited about the chance to continue serving you for four more years.

I'm honored to have the support of elected officials from across the valley, our local police and fire unions, and four members of the Midvale City Council. Their trust means a lot, and together, we're building a stronger, safer, and more connected Midvale!
π³ Join us for a Planting Day! πΏ
Weβre teaming up with Tracy Aviary and the Jordan River Commission for a planting event in the Bingham Junction Park wetlands this Saturday from 10 am to noon.

When I first got involved in Midvale politics, I was hanging campaign signs over the balcony of my apartment. Tonight, for the first time, I was able to place a sign for reelection outside my own home, and it felt pretty special.
I know our city is stronger when we offer diverse and affordable housing options for everyone. Whether you're renting your first apartment, buying your starter home, or downsizing later in life, every Midvale resident deserves the chance to find housing that fits their needs and their stage of life.
My own journey has shaped me into a stronger advocate for creating new home ownership opportunities for everyone who wants it while also protecting the rights of renters and ensuring they have safe and affordable places to call home.

To all of my friends who are members of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I want to extend my sincerest condolences on the loss of President Russell M. Nelson late last night.
With his passing, and with the senseless act of violence that occurred earlier today at an LDS church in Michigan, We must stand together, reject hate in all its forms, and strengthen the bonds that make our neighborhood safe and supportive.

I had the privilege of spending Monday afternoon with Unified Fire Station 126 Platoon A, and I was reminded once again how incredible our crews are in Midvale. They work side-by-side for long hours, building a level of trust that helps them respond to everything from cardiac events to house fires, gas leaks, and even hazardous waste spills.
It's easy to forget the toll this work can take, not just physically but emotionally. That's why supporting our first responders is so important. Their dedication to protecting our community is something I'll never take for granted!

Thank you, Women's Democratic Club of Utah. Your support means the world as we work to build a more inclusive Midvale together. As one of the few Utah cities with a woman-majority council, we're showing how diverse leadership leads to stronger, more connected communities πͺπ»
