I’ve been contemplating about a lot this week of course. Planning this funeral has been hard. This pain is hard. Creating “what if” statements in my head is hard. But, doing this alone would be unbearable and we are far, far away from being alone. We feel Milo with us a lot and I know that heaven is right here with us. Our family have been by our side the entire time. No matter how small the ask is, they step in. Even when there is no ask, they step in and help. We will get through this and survive. We are being carried right now in this heavy moment and we are not walking through it alone. Thank you to all our angels around us and thank you for all your support.
So thankful to have my dad who has this beautiful skill of building a casket and can donate his talent to help Milo. I was able to get out and help him at his shop last night a little and it was wonderful knowing how much Milo is truly loved from everyone around him.

A day late with everything, but Sabine had her first day of school yesterday!
We asked her if she wanted to wait until next week to start school with everything going on this week, but she was super excited to go and couldn’t wait. She has a wonderful teacher this year and excited to see what this year brings for her 😃
She is holding a pendant that the Child Life Team at Primary Children’s Hospital helped us make that has Milo’s handprint and footprint ♥️

Book #1 down for the year. Who else has read this one? 👀
Interesting fable that I think can resonate with most people as the market has shifted and CONTINUES to shift this coming year. I for one am always evaluating and making plans.
This book 📚just reminded me that way too often we get complacent in our lifestyles and don’t realize we need to change until it’s too late.
Honestly, 2023 📆is going to be hard for most people. So many of us were able to make money easily the last couple years and it’s not going to be nearly that easy unless you start making plans and moves today.
What are you doing stay ahead in your business and preparing for the future??

Daddy daughter date night tonight!👨 👧
Actually haven’t done too many of these, but Sabine is excited to watch some basketball and just hang out the two of us tonight.
Also for those dads out there, what have you done to give your kids some individual time?? Looking for any advice 😄
Go Jazz! 🏀

As our year is coming to a close, I am taking the time this week to try and prepare for this coming year. If you are someone who like setting goals and planning out the next year, here are 3 things to keep in mind as you get started this week
1. 📅 Reflect on the past year: Take some time to think about what you have accomplished in the past year, as well as any challenges or setbacks you may have faced. Consider what you have learned from these experiences and how they can inform your goal-setting process.
2. 💡 Identify your values and priorities: Consider what is most important to you and how you want to prioritize your time and energy in the coming year. This can help you set goals that align with your values and are meaningful to you.
3. ✅ Make a list of potential goals: Start by brainstorming a list of potential goals you might want to set for the coming year. This can include short-term and long-term goals, as well as goals in different areas of your life (e.g., personal, professional, financial, health, relationships, etc.).
Once you have a list of potential goals, you can start to narrow it down and select the ones that are most important and achievable for you. It can also be helpful to break larger goals down into smaller, more manageable steps.

to one of the most insane kitchen transformations we ever did! When flipping a house, we were always focusing on layout, value, and return on money.
This home was located in Cottonwood Heights, your typical 1970s home and decor that had never been updated. Kitchen was small, contained and just did not fit.
We realized if we move to the kitchen to the dining room area, the layout made more sense.
BUT, what are some of the things you have to take into account when moving a kitchen to a different location?
1️⃣ you need to move all of your systems, plumbing, electrical and possible duct work.
2️⃣ in our case we needed to take a larger window and make it smaller so it required exterior work and interior work to frame up a smaller window
3️⃣ we had a fireplace we had to knock out completely because there was a random fireplace in the dining room 🤷♂️
All together this kitchen turned out to be one of my dream kitchens and my favorite by far!

Before and after photos! 🏚️➡️🏡
Let me tell you, this one was a doozy! The full transformation on this one was one of the largest ones we had done. Seriously learned a lot more about flipping homes during this.
You have to keep your finger on the pulse! Don’t let off and just keep pushing through. We had various contractors we went through on this project and a lot of delays.
Grateful for my partner on this one Trevor Mecham and for Jesus Valenzuela for coming in to save the day!
