Beatnik Basement is an entertainment site based in North Texas. Now, starting in June 2015, Beatnik Basement is back and bigger than ever.
Beatnik Basement began in 2013 as a way for four students to express their love of journalism outside of the classroom. As time passed, however, Beatnik Basement began to have some issues and went on to have an almost year long hiatus. Beatnik Basement will now focus mainly on entertainment, with a huge emphasis on the Texas music scene. The site will soon feature interviews, reviews and much more
The new version of Beatnik Basement will be heavily entertainment, with a focus on the Texas music scene. We plan on doing interviews, reviews, and much more after the relaunch. If anyone would be interested, let us know. We would love to get as many people as possible involved, as we want to update the site frequently starting in June.
Also, the Instagram account still features local shows and bands, so feel free to share your band and/or upcoming shows with us so that we can post about them!

We're currently experimenting with new designs for the relaunching of the website in June 2015. There will be many changes to the site that we can't wait to show you!

Hey guys, Beatnik Basement is on what might be a permanent break. We have been having issues communicating with each other and therefore have not been able to come to agreement on what should be posted. Thank you to the few people who have stuck by us! We'll be sure to update you all if we decide to start up again.

South By So What?! Day 2 - Beatnik Basement Rain, music, and fans were everywhere at Quicktrip Park this past Saturday. South By So What?! was full of people anxious to see the headliners on day two of the three day festival. Lightning, unfortunately, broke up the festival.
