Yesterday we had Aaron and his son Payton from Utah. Once again the weather forecast was wrong with the wind but we managed. Fishing was decent with several bites and a few missed hooksets.but all in all a fun day out on the water.

Here’s a recap of last week, Tuesday and Wednesday we had Randall and his son Liam from Colorado. Day one fishing on Joe Pool was pretty tough with no wind and heat. We fished hard with a few bites and a couple small ones. Day we changed it up and hit Lake Alvarado, there the fish were biting pretty good with a nice kicker to close the day out . Everyone got in on the fishing and memories were made. Randall texted me later to find out the name of the baits we were using, we caught all our fish on blacklabeltackle soft plastics, the 7” hollow point on a 3/16 wootungsten shakey head on viciousfishing no fade braid and Flourocarbon leaders. Our sawgrassrods played a crucial role in helping the guys feel the subtle bites.

Today I took out Sarah from Pennsylvania, she’s in town celebrating her birthday and wanted to hit the water. The bite was a little tough today but we scraped up a few bites, all in all it was an enjoyable day out on the water. Thanks again Sarah for choosing GTB Outdoors! 🎣

Seth was also busy on Memorial Day, he took out Nic and Kayleen. The fish were biting and they got in on the action. Seems like the timber claimed another one, these fish know exactly where to head when hooked. Thanks again Nic and Kayleen for choosing GTB Outdoors! 🎣

Memorial Day we took out Robert, daughter Jasmine, and granddaughter Hannah. Nothing like a 3 generation family trip. Fish were biting and Jasmine had the hot hand! Hannah got in on the action too. Robert was sitting back enjoying being out making memories. I also forgot to mention Robert is a retired Marine, we shared stories, it’s always good to chat with someone that’s done the same thing and understands. Thanks for your service and thanks Jasmine for giving us the call! 🎣

Seth is home from school and putting in the work, he took out Randy and his son Tyler. They had some good catches, seems like the fish tend to follow Seth around. They had a couple “bigguns” on but the timber spoiled the fun. All in all they had a great trip. Thanks for choosing GTB Outdoors!
