Tell All Tuesday - Ever wonder how MCD decides which projects to fund in Midlothian? The answer is simple: transparency and open public process.

MCD holds open public meetings every 4th Thursday at City Hall, where anyone can listen in, learn about upcoming proposals, and see how decisions are made. We believe that when the community can see the process, trust grows.

Most MCD‑funded projects are formally brought to us by businesses, nonprofits, and the City of Midlothian for consideration. From there, the MCD Board reviews each request to ensure it aligns with our mission of enhancing quality of life and creating spaces and opportunities that bring people together.

Did you know today is National Fishing Day? Do the husbands know? Because most of them act like every day is National Fishing Day.

Did you also know that the pond at Community Park is catch‑and‑release? This is important because the fish that won first place at the recent Kids Fishing Derby—sponsored by Midlothian Community Development and caught by Ethan Bryson (left) and Harrison Dobbe (right)—were returned to the pond. So, get out there and fish today, because we know there are some piggy fish waiting!
