I am pretty excited about these up coming new paintings, I am really pushing myself with creating more atmosphere in my pieces. These two are in the finished tonal layer stage and are ready for some color. I have another painting already started with some Warthogs and a commission to start so I'm not sure which one I'll tackle first. Thoughts?

Getting back to work in the studio after several months of being away from the easel and it feels great! This is one of 4 pieces that I have in the works over the next few months and I'm very excited about this one. Visiting the Gorillas in Rwanda was an amazing experience and I would love very much to do that trip again.

Sitting here on cloud nine! I am very humbled and excited to share that my painting "Gates Ranch" is among the 101 artists selected for this year's Birds in Art exhibition at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin.

There were 1,108 artworks submitted by 672 artists from around the world.

My mom's new ride has arrived on the property. Can we say... Here comes Miss Crawly!

Work in progress, oil on gessoed maple panel, 35 x 22.

I finished drawing this one out today to take a break from my Warthog painting. This composition has been bouncing around in my head since 2019 when I went Rwanda to visit the Gorillas. I would love to go back there again some day.

It's been a great couple of weeks! These four pieces found their new homes. The best compliment a collector can give an artist is to purchase a painting(s), because it means, "Go and create more."
