Trinity Prairie Co.
Texas-native landscaping company in DFW. We are passionate about uniting nature, beauty, & place.
Celebrating and supporting the FW Nature Center & Refuge. This is a ~3,600 acre crown jewel of DFW, go visit if you haven’t been there yet.
Dr. Jared Wood and his team are doing yeoman’s work in improving and preserving this confluence of prairie, cross timber, and wetland habitats. Their hard work shows at every point throughout the preserve.
The organization is also supported in the background by a carrier strike group of Fort Worth’s most interesting and accomplished citizens.
It was a privilege to have TPC represented at the event. Eager to support the Center’s mission for years to come.
Twenty feet of native plants are on their way to the Tarrant Regional Water District HQ in Fort Worth! They need more volunteers to assist with planting on Thursday. Festivities begin around 10am. More info in the comments below.
TRWD is building a model prairie at their main campus so we’re showing up with a crop of native grasses. We have some forbs in there, too, but the focus is on grasses and a low-grow border (B. dactyloides, H. belangeri).
Come see the TRWD campus (tons of native landscaping!) and help us get these plants in the ground!!

We've been busy with our native seed drill this season. Last week we were invited to plant ten acres on a beautiful property in Johnson County. The landowners worked with Native American Seed and Justin Seed Co. to develop mixes tailored to their land. Excited to see how things progress--we'll keep you updated.

We're grateful to work with Trinity Coalition and the Ned Fritz Legacy Project to keep sections of the Ned and Genie Fritz Texas Buckeye Trail clear of invasive species. Keeping these areas open allows (1) the buckeyes to thrive for years to come, and (2) easier access for visitors to enjoy this special natural treasure within Dallas city limits.
Everyone who values our natural resources within the North Texas region owes a big "Thank You!" to these organizations and their partners at the City of Dallas - City Hall.
We made it to Eileen’s Glen, in fabulous shape after serious privet management work last fall (though much work left to do). Thanks to Trinity Prairie Co. for clearing the privet twice and Trinity Coalition for paying for it both times. And thanks to Brett Johnson and Christopher Morris of Dallas Parks & Recreation for making it all possible.
W**d barrier materials are a psyop by Big W**d. Wake up, sheeple!

live staking our brush bundles at a creek project—black willow and buttonbush cuttings will grow up through the bundles to hold everything in place.
this serves the duel functions of both securing the bank and providing riparian habitat.
even all that woody encroachment can’t hide the beauty of the Lampasas Cut Plain.
fall evening around the fire pit at a client’s ranch house. the path lights and scattered tree lighting extends comforts from inside the house out into the open air.
(the landscape is getting leggy this time of year so this is as close as you’re gonna get)
