Here’s what you should know about Midland’s June 2026 market update.

Prices are up, active listings are up, closed sales are nearly flat, and homes are taking longer to move compared to last year. That tells us this is a market where both buyers and sellers need context, not assumptions.

Trying to decide between Midland TX and Big Spring TX?

Midland may be the better fit if your priority is having more options. In 2025, Midland had 494 to 786 active listings each month, while Big Spring had 82 to 127. That matters because real estate comes back to supply and demand. Active listings show the available supply, so a higher number of active listings generally means more options in the market.

Big Spring may be the better starting point if your priority is keeping the purchase price lower. In 2025, Big Spring’s median price ranged from $130,000 to $199,900. Midland ranged from $352,550 to $394,900, so Big Spring is the more affordable market.
