Within Reach
Healing Minds, Changing Lives Within Reach is an outreach ministry focused solely on the disqualified and forgotten.
We go to the places that no one else wants to and we do what others won't. Our by-laws are set-up specifically to include everyone who doesn't fit into another's. We offer our community support in three different areas: street ministry/night strikes, life skills classes/speaking events, and coming in 2024 we will be offering Neurofeedback to those in crisis.

Last night my friend Kelsey happened across a young man, someone’s child, someone’s baby, unconscious outside of a Walgreens, due to what appeared to be an overdose. Thank God she was there, and was able to recognize the signs and CARE enough to call emergency services. She gave this boy a chance to survive.
She wasn’t in one of 🚩”those”🚩places.
She was running to the store.
This. Is. Why. E V E R Y O N E. Should. Carry. Narcan.
This is why we should ✨A L L✨pay attention to our surroundings and those around us.
It’s not just for the op**te addict.
It’s not just for the mother or father who knows their child is battling addiction.
It’s not just for 🚩”t h o s e”🚩people.
No one is exempt from this crisis that is literally waging open war on an entire generation.
Narcan is a medication that temporarily reverses opioid overdoses by blocking opioids from the brain so the person can start breathing again.
I want to make some things clear. Narcan does NOT get someone high, therefore it cannot enable drug use.
It enables breathing.
It enables a chance to live.
It enables the opportunity to fight another day.
I hear so often
“I don’t need it, I don’t f*** with that stuff”
or
“ I have no use for it, I’m n e v e r around
🚩”t h o s e”🚩people. “
Literally if you exist in modern society, I beg you to carry narcan. I pray you never have to use it.
But, unfortunately, in today’s world, there is a chance that you could be in the right place at the wrong time, and change the tide for someone at their most vulnerable dire time of need.
If you have children, please keep narcan. Maybe your child would n e v e r. I pray you’re right, but what about their friends.? Can you say they would never.?
Kelsey shared with me that there were several people around, that did not take the time to notice or check on this young man. One man even had the audacity to “joke” that he must have got “ahold of some good s***”
Do. Not. Be. One. Of. 🚩T H O S E🚩People.
Everyone thinks they are so above this crisis,
“I would n e v e r do that.”
“They would n e v e r do that.”
“It won’t touch me, it happens to other people.”
Until it happens to you.
I’m telling you, don’t be one of 🚩t h o s e🚩 people.
Kelsey also mentioned that it was weird because his slides were placed nicely together next to him, as if he had been put there and his shoes laid beside him.
Let me be clear, we do not know this young man, or the circumstances surrounding what happened, so what I am about to say is pure speculation, however:
Because Texas has incredibly lousy Good Samaritan Laws, very often if people are using together, and someone starts overdosing, they will drop them off somewhere because they are scared of the repercussions of calling emergency services.
This is why we strive so hard to get plenty of narcan into the hands of the real first responders to an overdose- other addicts.
If you want to know more about Narcan or would like to keep some on hand, please reach out to me and I will bring you some, anywhere.
Praying for this young man today, Praying for Kelsey’s heart, and praying for the people who are battling addictions everyday, using for the first time, using for the last time, and for 🚩t h o s e🚩people who think it’s someone else’s problem.
✨Kelby.

We are so excited to see women like Megan Cardenas with My Second Bloom creating space to talk about the subjects that matter! 😍 It was also a great opportunity for our NEW member to the team, Trinity Whitmore, to get in and mingle!!!!

Look at the legacy "some" street ministry can build.
Armed with a Bible, a briefcase, and unshakeable faith, David Wilkerson stepped into the darkest of places to bring hope to those whom society left behind 💼✝️
He stood as a powerful advocate for change and sparked a movement of healing that continues to change the world 🌎

Street Outreach Thursday 🔥💜
Every week we step into places most people avoid.
Parking lots.
Sidewalks.
Trap houses.
Motels.
Right into the middle of addiction, trauma, grief, mental health crises, and hopelessness.
And every single week we’re reminded of something:
People are starving for hope.
Not fake hope.
Not “thoughts and prayers” from a distance.
Real hope that gets in the car, burns the gas, walks into hard places, and says:
“You are still worth fighting for.”
So this week we go out with:
✨ Narcan
✨ Food & drinks
✨ Hygiene supplies
✨ Resources
✨ Compassion
No savior complex.
No pretending we have all the answers.
Just showing up consistently and loving people where they are.
💡 Our “Light Up the Streets” Summer Fundraiser is still going strong and helping fund these outreaches all throughout the summer.
Every donation helps us keep hitting the streets week after week and reaching people who feel forgotten.
