Members of the Midland Municipal Police Officers Association are in need of help.

Officer L. Johnson recently welcomed a new addition to his family, a baby girl, but the birth was very difficult. After a long 48+ Labor, the baby was found to be not breathing had to be airlifted to Lubbock, and spent nearly two weeks in the NICU. We are happy to say that the baby has made it out of the NICU and home with mom and day.

Officer S. Vargas went to Midland Memorial Hospital after not feeling well. After some checks were done, the hospital discovered a large tumor attached to his brain. Officer Vargas was immediately flown out to Ft. Worth and later transferred to MD Anderson in Houston due to the complexity and size of the tumor.

These MPD Officers are in desperate need of our help.

We thank you for any help offered.

Today is a benefit fundraiser for Midland's Det. Chesworth & family! Lunch will be served from 11-2p at Elevate Church (2311 Elizabeth)!

Det. Chesworth' child suffered a severe medical emergency, requiring air transport, an extended ICU stay and a long road to recovery. Please come by and help one of our own! Thanks to

Last night, MMPOA hosted a District Attorney Candidate Forum with candidates Glenn Harwood and Kyle McCardle. The candidates were presented with questions and given the opportunity to speak with Law Enforcement personnel from multiple agencies in Midland County.

We want to thank the candidates for attending, The Kent Companies for hosting, & TMPA for providing refreshments & advice throughout the process!

We look forward to working with whomever the citizens elect as our next Midland County District Attorney!
