On May 15th, we held the Inaugural Madison-Butler Tech FFA Awards Banquet. At this event we celebrated students earning their Discovery & Greenhand degrees, CDE achievements, and Fundraising powerhouses. We said goodbye to our graduating senior and retiring officers. We heard from our President, Lyla Comer and our Advisor, Ms. Jo. To round it out, we inducted the 2026-2027 Officer FFA Team. This was the perfect way to end our first year as a chapter and program. We can't wait for all the exciting things summer has to offer us.

The 98th Ohio FFA Convention was our 1st. We had an amazing time at Convention.

Our first night we completed an Escape Room with 13 minutes to go! And we got settled in to Columbus.

The first full day was all at Convention. We attended the First Session, where Ms. Jo and Lyla Comer walked the stage to receive our official charter. Then we spent time exploring expo and even did a little shopping. We also attended the other 2 sessions of the day, where we heard great messages from keynote speakers and celebrated our fellow FFA members in their achievements.

The 2nd day, we got to tour different agricultural industries in the Greater Columbus Area. Our first stop was the Groovy Plant Ranch, where we explored their greenhouses and learned all about their groovy plants. Then, we head to The Ohio State University’s Meat Lab. There, we learned about how they process meat and the science behind our favorite proteins. Our last stop, was the Anthony-Thomas Chocolate Factory. Students got to get an inside scoop on how some of our favorite chocolates are made, no pictures as this process is top secret.

Overall, we laughed, we learned, and we survived our first convention. We can’t believe that our first year is almost done, we can’t wait for our next chapter.
